The Auberge de Savièse offers you traditional family cuisine. In order to ensure the highest quality, we attach great importance to the choice of the ingredients we use and take pride in buying, whenever possible, from local producers and craftsmen. Thus the cheeses for our fondues and our Raclette, come systematically from suppliers in the Valais and Fribourg with whom we have been in business for many years and in whom we trust.

Thanks to his know-how and after more than a year of research, one of our artisan cheesemakers has developed a cooking technique that allows us to offer a goat cheese fondue that is both soft and tasty.

Finally, the unique character of our dishes also owes much to the experience of our chef, Mathias Bigot. He is the creator of our speciality, the Rustique du Savièse, which you can only experience here.

L'histoire de l'Auberge de Savièse

Auberge de Savièse restaurant is located in the picturesque Pâquis district, just two minutes’ walk from the Cornavin central train station and the Geneva Lake. Previously called the Vieux Renard (The Old Fox), it has been offering a traditional Swiss cusine with local dishes from the cantons of Valais and Grisons for more than 50 years.

Auberge de Savièse has everything you expect from a high-quality restaurant. We invite you to discover or rediscover delicious dishes such as Raclette, the Half and Half fondue (50% Gruyère AOP & 50% Vacherin AOP), the homemade cheese fondue 100% Gruyère AOP, the goat cheese fondue but also the Bourguignonne, Savièsarde or Chinoise meat fondues. Auberge de Savièse also offers daily specials at lunchtime and a variety of dishes.

Whether you choose to eat outside on the terrace on a sunny day, or indoors in the charming carnotzet during the winter season, our new team will be delighted to welcome you and assist you.
